This is a two movement work which reverses the convention
of the expected tempo setting, slowfast. Engaging a single repeated rch reverses
the convention of the expected tempo setting, slow-right-hand arpeggio through
the first piece, Fuego transcends the study category by its ominous musical depiction
of a growing fire. The slow second movement (Rain) is a beautiful contrast reminiscent
