from the original Triptych but present in this “sequel” are introductions
for the first and third movements. Infectious modulations give the closing piece
a strong polarization back to the tonic key (also not present in the third movement
of the first Triptych). Bold themes and creative development make this Triptych
just as impressive as the first!
